ROSE MINIATURES
Rose
Miniatures, produced in London by Russell Gammage and his wife Mary,
covered almost every period from the days of Ancient Egypt to figures
of the British Army up to the mid 1980s. I was fortunate to meet the
Gammages in the early 1980's on a trip to London. Their business was
located in a converted terrace house. I remember vividly Russell
Gammage telling me that his accountant had told him that if
he sold the house and invested the money he would make far more
money than manufacturing model soldiers. This was only a couple of
years before Rose Miniatures was put on the market. I was offered the business but
was not in a position to buy it.
"Brigadier"
was an agent for Rose Miniatures during the early 1980's. We sold
"Minipacks" by mail order. Some of the models were assembled and
painted for display at shows and for publicity. In addition many models
were added to my private collection. From time to time we will be
offering some of these for sale. Please check this page
regularly or email us to be added to our customer list.
